Role Summary
The Talent Acquisition Specialist plays a crucial role in identifying and engaging potential candidates to enhance the recruitment process. This individual will source and evaluate candidates, develop talent pipelines, and assist in the assessment of applicants.
Compensation & Benefits:
Estimated Starting Salary Range for Talent Acquisition Specialist: $24-47 per hour
Compensation will be based on experience.
Full-time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other potential benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.
- Key Responsibilities Include:
- Fostering talent and creating resources essential for organizational success; mentoring and training recruiters on sourcing-related activities to maximize productivity and ensure quality.
- Formulating, communicating, and overseeing a strategic plan for recruitment campaigns.
- Creating and managing social media initiatives to raise awareness for Cherokee Federal job opportunities; placing and refreshing recruitment advertisements to optimize candidate flow.
- Engaging with potential candidates through social media and professional networks (e.g., LinkedIn, Indeed, Zip Recruiter, etc.).
- Crafting and distributing recruitment communications; promoting a consistent company brand to candidates and applicants.
- Sourcing and referring both active and passive qualified candidates to recruiters for consideration.
- Enhancing job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and engaging in professional organizations.
- Initiating and implementing innovative resource strategies and employee resource groups aimed at encouraging diverse candidate slates.
- Utilizing hiring and sourcing metrics to continuously improve and make informed decisions.
- Building extensive pools of highly qualified, diverse candidates to meet current and future needs.
- Collaborating with hiring managers to ensure a clear understanding of job requirements and expectations.
- Conducting research on talent markets to assess supply versus demand, competitor intelligence, and optimal sourcing locations.
- Developing applicant sources and implementing creative recruiting strategies to attract qualified professionals through research, outreach, and relationship-building with agencies, recruiting sources, and media.
- Maintaining professional relationships with college, university, and community college placement offices to generate qualified applicants.
- Participating in job fairs with appropriate staff to attract qualified candidates.
- Leveraging technology to attract, identify, and communicate with potential candidates to stimulate interest in specific postings.
- Managing job board positions and candidates as necessary.
Experience, Education, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- Six to eight years of recruiting experience across various levels, including entry-level to management positions, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency in creative sourcing methods, including Internet sourcing techniques, Boolean searches, referral management, and outreach to passive candidates.
- Experience with high-volume and surge recruiting is essential.
- Must meet pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
- Familiarity with electronic applicant systems and Internet recruiting sources.
- Understanding of human resources evaluation methods, policies, practices, and procedures, including EEO, ADA, and AAPOFCCP compliance.
- Advanced knowledge of all recruiting components with a proven track record in sourcing hard-to-find candidates.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Ability to think creatively with technology to locate passive (and qualified) candidates.
- Capability to achieve results both directly and indirectly.
- Outstanding organizational skills.
- Ability to anticipate challenges and demonstrate strategic, proactive, and assertive thinking.
