Front Desk Agent Job Description

The Stanford Park Hotel is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Front Desk Agent to join our team. As a Front Desk Agent, you will be the first point of contact for our guests and will be responsible for providing exceptional service and ensuring a seamless arrival experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greets guests with a warm and welcoming smile, registering and assigning rooms as needed.
  • Provides information to guests regarding hotel services, local attractions, and amenities.
  • Completes registration process by inputting and retrieving information from the computer system.
  • Codes electronic keys, issues room key folders, and verifies credit card information.
  • Handles cash and makes change, balances cash bank, and accepts and records vouchers and other forms of payment.
  • Answers phone calls and responds to guest inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Inputs messages into the computer system and retrieves messages for guests.
  • Retrieves mail, small packages, and faxes for guests as requested.
  • Assists guests with check-out and resolves any issues that may arise.
  • Fields guest complaints and resolves issues in a fair and professional manner.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior hospitality experience preferred, especially in a luxury environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask with ease.
  • Ability to maintain a neat and clean appearance and adhere to hotel grooming standards.
Working Conditions:

The work environment is moderate, with occasional exposure to noise and stress. Regular attendance and flexibility to work varying schedules are essential to the success of this position.
