Overview:


Stewart & Stevenson is seeking a Sales Representative for Parts and Services. This role is essential in promoting and selling parts and services across various sectors, including trucking, fleet delivery, marine, construction, mining, oil and gas, emergency services, and industrial machinery. The representative will be responsible for managing an assigned territory to maximize sales profitability and growth.


Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop new customer accounts while maintaining and servicing existing ones.
2. Assess customer needs and interests to align company offerings effectively.
3. Meet sales targets and forecasts set by the department and organization.
4. Assist in the marketing and sales of new products or prototypes to the current market.
5. Review completed projects for discrepancies in component costs.


6. Collaborate with various departments, including engineering, manufacturing, production, and purchasing, to ensure project development and timely delivery of products.

7. Monitor sales orders to ensure compliance with project specifications and deadlines.
8. Calculate installation or production costs and prepare bid specifications for customers.
9. Negotiate proposals and service contracts with clients.


10. Build and nurture business, social, and networking relationships within the petroleum industry to enhance the company's image.

11. Strategize and organize sales plans.
12. Expedite the resolution of customer issues and complaints.


13. Ensure a strong market presence for products and services by providing guidance and information.


14. Attend sales meetings and industry events to stay informed about market conditions, trends, and developments.

15. Demonstrate and explain the use of installed equipment and production processes.
16. Coordinate the installation and testing of machinery, offering solutions to product-related challenges.
17. Evaluate sales performance metrics.


18. Provide management with reports on customer needs, market situations, competitive activities, and opportunities for new products/services.

19. Conduct all business dealings ethically.

- Adherence to company pricing guidelines and procedures.
- Capability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
