Electrical Systems Specialist

At SEPTA, we are seeking a skilled Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team. As an Electrical Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, testing, and adjusting electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. You will ensure that all work is performed in accordance with specifications and relevant codes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, maintain, repair, test, and adjust electrical equipment, wiring, and fixtures.
  • Inspect, clean, and repair transformers, inverters, motor alternators, automatic transfer switches, switchboard relays.
  • Inspect, clean, and make all repairs to lighting circuits, replace fuses and circuit breakers.
  • Install and repair substation power traction equipment, bus bars, and wiring, repair motors and motor controls.
  • Maintain power service to all electrical apparatus.

Requirements:
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license; CDL required.
  • Pre-employment and performance tests.
  • 4 years of relevant electrical work experience.
  • Equivalent combination of trade school education and experience.
