Electrical Engineer - MEP Division

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) Division in Philadelphia, PA. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing and developing electrical systems for various applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and specify electrical equipment, including transformers, switchgears, emergency generators, and distribution panels.
  • Perform power demand, voltage drop, and lighting photometry calculations.
  • Develop detailed electrical system schematics and perform analytical circuit functionality.
  • Develop wiring architecture and power distribution plans.
  • Support overall electrical systems development and build support.
  • Coordinate with internal and external design team members to ensure constructability of building systems.
  • Perform site surveys to assess conditions of equipment.
  • Attend client meetings and address client needs and concerns.
  • Manage single and multi-disciplinary project scope, budget, and overall coordination and communication for projects.
  • Interpret and apply knowledge of MEP related standard codes and guidelines.
  • Review submittals and shop drawings against design drawings.
  • Perform site visits and punch-lists to verify construction is in accordance with design drawings.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
  • EIT accreditation required.
  • 5 to 7 years of MEP design engineering experience.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Revit.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent technical and communication skills.
  • Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
