The County of Charlotte Florida is seeking a highly skilled Natural Resources Land Management Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our environmental management team, you will be responsible for protecting and managing the county's natural resources, including wetlands, listed wildlife species, waterways, and native habitats.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective environmental management plans to protect and conserve natural resources.
- Conduct fieldwork to monitor and assess the condition of natural resources, including wetlands, wildlife habitats, and waterways.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including local communities, landowners, and other government agencies, to promote environmental conservation and management practices.
- Provide education and outreach to the public on environmental issues and conservation practices.
- Assist in the development and implementation of environmental policies and regulations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, natural resources management, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in environmental management, conservation, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of environmental laws and regulations, including the Clean Water Act and the Endangered Species Act.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
