Job Title: Environmental Scientist/Technician

ERG Inc is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Environmental Scientist/Technician to join our team. As a key member of our measurements group, you will be responsible for executing and managing monitoring projects, methods research, and other air-related sampling and monitoring events.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engineer, design, build, test, and utilize equipment for air sampling and monitoring
  • Set up equipment and collect air quality data under the supervision of Project Managers and Field Team Leaders
  • Perform daily instrumentation tasks, including filter preparation, weighing, cleaning, and set-up
  • Support equipment repair, calibration, and maintenance
Requirements:
  • High school diploma, basic math, science, and mechanical skills
  • Associate or bachelor's degree preferred (especially science, engineering, or related field)
  • 0-3 years of relative experience
  • Aptitude and interest in science, technical work, mechanical equipment, and air quality
  • Proficient in instrumentation installation, calibration, testing, and operation
  • Ability & willingness to travel 25-50% of the time
  • Ability to work in outdoor field settings, including the use of ladders
  • Capability to pass background checks and initial and random drug screening
  • Valid driver's license and ability to obtain and maintain DOT medical certification
