We are currently in search of a seasoned Financial Operations Manager who possesses the enthusiasm and drive to act as a Business Partner, guiding Teguar in achieving our ambitious 5-year revenue growth strategy.

The ideal candidate will excel in fostering business relationships and will autonomously enhance our finance department.

Overview:
The Financial Operations Manager will oversee and direct the financial activities of the organization.

This encompasses evaluating financial data; identifying and executing strategies to enhance operational efficiency; developing and maintaining a comprehensive budget; preparing financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements; reconciling discrepancies; auditing financial documents; recommending and instituting policies and procedures; and supervising the accounting team.


Key Responsibilities:


Maintains a documented framework of effective financial policies and procedures; establishes a system of controls over financial transactions to mitigate risk.

Provides proactive guidance, interpretation, and education on financial and operational issues to department leaders to facilitate informed decision-making.


Oversees the generation of regular financial reports; ensures that the reported outcomes adhere to generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards.

Establishes and reports on benchmarks and KPIs that will be utilized to assess the company's performance.

Leads and refines the annual budgeting process, both in total and by department, in collaboration with department managers and/or process owners.

Delivers financial analysis, with a focus on pricing strategies and contract negotiations.

Supervises an Accounting Clerk, performing HR-related functions.

Collaborates with external auditors and provides necessary documentation for the annual audit.

Responsible for the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries.

Manages vendor relationships related to accounting and oversees software integration maintenance and troubleshooting.


Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations by reviewing existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on necessary actions, particularly regarding sales tax compliance.

Conducts line of credit assessments within assigned underwriting limits.

Performs additional duties as assigned by executive management.

Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in accounting, finance, business administration, and a minimum of seven years of comprehensive accounting experience; OR ten years of experience in lieu of formal education; OR an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Experience with ERP Software is required (Netsuite preferred)

Demonstrated ability to develop processes that enhance company standards.

Intermediate proficiency in Excel.

Requirements:

Proficient in MS Office.
