Position Overview:

In this position, you will serve as the primary liaison between technology and a designated business or functional area. The role involves defining business requirements, developing application and process specifications, collaborating with delivery teams, and ensuring that tasks are prioritized based on business value while aligning with broader business and technical strategies. You may report to both technology and business management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Possesses specialized knowledge and expertise in their field and extensive experience in integrating related disciplines.
  • Leads programs of significant risk, employing advanced analytical thinking to devise innovative solutions.
  • Takes accountability for personal and team outputs, establishing operational standards.
  • Operates independently, seeking guidance only in the most complex scenarios.
  • Acts as a consultant to management and key external stakeholders across various applications or business domains.
  • Facilitates the identification and evaluation of complex or enterprise-wide business requirements.
  • Serves as a trusted advisor to business partners, both internally and externally, to regularly assess their goals and objectives.
  • Connects business strategy with technology strategy to propose optimal solutions in collaboration with enterprise architects and engineering managers.
  • Promotes a lean-agile mindset throughout the entire business domain and portfolio of functions.
  • Designs business workflows across multiple applications or business areas.
  • Engages in initiatives characterized by high complexity and often high volume, involving a diverse array of applications or business domains.
  • Develops a broad, active network that is consistently engaged.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

Business Acumen:

  • Exhibits comprehensive knowledge of products and processes within assigned domains.
  • Integrates technical expertise with an understanding of business strategy to recommend best practices for technical solutions.
  • Makes decisions aligned with the broader business strategy and future priorities of the domain.

Qualifications:

  • Typically, 8+ years of relevant experience with at least 3 years in the asset management or financial services sector.
  • Familiarity with the latest best-in-class technologies.
  • Ability to clearly communicate business strategy, technical concepts, designs, or implementations to a non-technical audience across various domains.
  • Effectively conveys technical vision to all stakeholders involved in initiatives across domains.
  • Identifies impacts across domains and resolves technical conflicts and competing priorities.
  • Recommends changes to business analysis processes affecting the domains.

Work Flexibility:

This role allows for remote work up to three days a week.
