Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborates closely with HR Shared Services and HR stakeholders across the organization to implement HR-related technologies.
  • Addresses unplanned production support tasks. The team operates within an agile hybrid scrum framework, participating in scrum meetings to provide updates on project progress. Analysts are tasked with planning and estimating their project assignments and tracking their time accordingly.

Technologies and Tools Utilized

  • Employs SAP Payroll/Time Management Modules, Revtrac, Jira, Confluence, and other HCM technologies to facilitate HR Payroll/Time processes and policies. This role necessitates a comprehensive understanding of complex systems that may function differently across various organizational units.

Scope of Support

  • This position is part of a team comprising approximately 17 HR/Payroll Functional Analysts who support the Human Capital Management systems for a large organization with a workforce exceeding 50,000 employee records.

On-call Expectations

  • Available to respond to critical production support issues as they arise, though not regularly scheduled for on-call duties.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Proficient knowledge of system processes and configurations in SAP to facilitate problem identification and resolution.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to address unique and non-standard issues.
  • Excellent organizational and motivational skills to foster a collaborative work environment, particularly under tight deadlines.
  • Effective negotiation skills to achieve customer satisfaction through compromise and alternative solutions.
  • Acts as a communication bridge between HR leadership and technical teams.
  • Deep understanding of at least one major process area, with a working knowledge of applications in at least one other area.
  • Customer service-oriented, capable of engaging with users to comprehend their requests and provide timely feedback.
  • Skilled in tracking and reporting the status of issues and requests to users and management.
  • Team-oriented, able to collaborate with various functional and technical teams to define responsibilities and action items.
  • Ability to work independently on tasks, seeking assistance when necessary, and proactively completing assignments.
  • Capable of assessing the severity of reported issues and responding appropriately.
  • Proficient in using software applications such as MS Word, MS Outlook, MS Excel, and other tools for data manipulation and reporting.
  • Adept at understanding the implications of changes in a highly integrated system and executing necessary testing.
  • Experience in structured project management environments, capable of planning and executing larger projects while managing tasks within complex project frameworks.
  • Ability to articulate functional design specifications clearly.

Minimum Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience configuring SAP Payroll and Time Management modules.
  • Proven track record in leading projects and facilitating meetings with business representatives to discuss requirements and best practices.
  • Familiarity with other SAP or SuccessFactors modules.
