Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is on the lookout for a Lead Financial Analyst / Senior Lead Financial Analyst to become a vital member of our high-performing, diverse team. This role will be based at one of our campuses. The position supports the Battlefield Airborne Communications Node (BACN) Financial Planning and Reporting Organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the forecasting process with a focus on precision and reliability.
  • Conduct economic research and analyze factors such as return rates, depreciation, working capital, investments, and financial comparisons through profit and loss and income statement analysis.
  • Manage monthly forecasts and provide status updates related to income statements, awards, and backlog.
  • Prepare monthly rolling forecast deliverables and variance reports.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of financial deliverables associated with quarterly Estimates at Complete (EAC).
  • Compile the Division EAC scorecard report.
  • Verify that profit plans align with quarterly EACs and address discrepancies as needed.
  • Review and validate backlog adjustments to ensure total division backlog accuracy.
  • Lead annual reviews and validations of closed program backlogs.
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance financial reporting processes for improved efficiency.

Basic Qualifications for Principal Financial Analyst:

  • Bachelor's degree with 6 years of experience in financial analysis or related fields; a Master's degree with 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Proficiency in SAP HANA or SAP S/4 Hana.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (including Macros, Pivot tables, and V-Lookups).
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a US Secret Clearance; US citizenship is required.

Basic Qualifications for Senior Principal Financial Analyst:

  • Bachelor's degree with 10 years of experience in financial analysis or related fields; a Master's degree with 8 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Proficiency in SAP HANA or SAP S/4 Hana.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (including Macros, Pivot tables, and V-Lookups).
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a US Secret Clearance; US citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active DoD Secret level security clearance.
  • Experience with Planning Analytics for Excel (PAX).
  • Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Capacity to handle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with EVMS/FAR/DFARS.
Salary Range: $84,600 - $157,300
This salary range serves as a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers various factors when determining base salary offers, including the scope and responsibilities of the position, as well as the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses in addition to base pay, designed to reward individual contributions and allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director roles may qualify for Long Term Incentives.
