Position Overview:

The Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami is on the lookout for a full-time, dynamic, and experienced Marketing Manager. The perfect candidate will possess a proven history of enhancing audience interaction and achieving substantial ROI outcomes. This role demands creativity, a strong passion for contemporary art, and meticulous attention to detail. Prior experience in Project Management is highly desirable.

The Marketing Department at ICA Miami is dedicated to creating content that energizes our diverse audiences. This department plays a crucial role in informing the public about our offerings and motivating participation. The Marketing Manager will oversee marketing initiatives for exhibitions, public programs, events, membership, educational activities, and the museum shop, collaborating closely with the Director of External Affairs.

This position will lead and inspire a team comprising a Social Media and Image Specialist, Digital Producer, and Graphic Designer.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership

● Inspire, guide, and nurture direct reports while effectively collaborating with various departments to create high-quality communication strategies.

● Utilize project management tools to supervise campaigns and partnerships across museum divisions.

● Oversee the creation of marketing materials for all museum events, adhering to the museum's branding standards.

● Manage campaign budgets, ensuring all expenses remain within established limits, including handling all related administrative tasks.

Marketing Campaigns

● Design and execute data-driven marketing strategies aimed at boosting museum membership and attendance, while raising public awareness of exhibitions, educational programs, and events.

● Formulate email and customer relationship management (CRM) strategies to engage audiences and meet Key Performance Indicators.

● Track campaign performance and generate evaluation reports with actionable insights.

Audience Development and Engagement

● Assist senior management in assessing and implementing audience development and marketing strategies to connect with target demographics.

● Collaborate with the Development Team and museum sponsors to help achieve their objectives and effectively manage stakeholder relationships.

● Partner with the Education Team and Art & Research Center to promote educational initiatives.

Digital Presence

● Collaborate with museum curators to create and execute an innovative content strategy across all platforms, including social media and websites, in conjunction with the Digital Producer.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

● A minimum of three years of experience in communications or marketing (including media buying, copywriting, proofreading, email marketing, and project management).

● A Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

● Proven project management experience (familiarity with task management software such as Asana, Basecamp, ClickUp, etc.).

● Proficiency with email management tools, website maintenance, and social media platforms, along with experience in content creation tools.

● Detail-oriented, well-organized, and adaptable to changing demands and priorities.

● Strong interpersonal skills, a curious mindset, a collaborative approach, and the ability to efficiently manage a variety of time-sensitive projects in a fast-paced environment.

● Excellent writing skills, including proofreading, grammar, and spelling.

● Willingness to work evenings and weekends as necessary.

● A genuine interest in contemporary art is essential.

Physical Requirements:

● The employee is frequently required to stop, reach, stand, walk, lift, pull, push, grasp, communicate, and engage in repetitive motions.

● The role may involve lifting and moving materials weighing up to 20 pounds.

● The position requires the individual to manage multiple demands from various stakeholders and interact with the public and other staff members.
