Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Health Clinical Therapist to join our team at UCHealth. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide top-notch behavioral health care to patients in a dynamic and innovative clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement counseling and therapy for assigned patients in individual and group settings.
  • Interview and assess patients and their families, caregivers, and legal representatives to determine their needs.
  • Determine and provide or arrange for needed internal and external services and interventions.
  • Participate in case reviews and care conferences to evaluate patient progress.
  • Assist with discharge planning and process, including identification of community-based resources and referrals.
  • Collaborate and coordinate patient discharge planning needs and readiness for discharge with other care team members.
  • Utilize teaching methods and referrals to ensure patient and family educational needs are met.
  • Participate in training new staff, students, and interns as assigned.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
  • State licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT), or Licensed Addiction Counselor (ACD), or other licensure/certification approved by department leadership.
