At Sasha Bruce Youthwork Inc, we are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Full-Time Youth Engagement Specialist to join our team. This role is a critical part of our Pregnant and Parenting ILP program, which provides supportive services to young mothers and their children.

Job Summary:

The Youth Engagement Specialist will work under the direction of the Program Manager to coordinate daily activities within the program. This includes creating a positive and welcoming environment for young families, monitoring the safety of program residents, and providing clinical and crisis intervention as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and implement weekday activity schedules
  • Provide on-site supervision and crisis intervention services to youth in residence
  • Plan and direct recreational, educational, and therapeutic activities aligned with individual client goals
  • Answer phone calls and visitors, maintain supervision of the program, and enforce program rules
  • Collaborate with other SBY staff, programs, families, and agencies to support youth in achieving daily goals
  • Facilitate life skills groups on topics of interest to teens
  • Conduct regular apartment inspections and maintain necessary documentation
  • Oversee the safety and cleanliness of the program site
Requirements:
  • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Human Services
  • Required: High School Diploma or GED with 2-3 years' experience in Human Services or related field
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work with youth, teens, and families dealing with trauma and crisis
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
