Job Summary: IREX seeks a qualified expert consultant in youth development to provide strategic advising on our focus on youth development. This consultancy will take place remotely over an 8-day period in April 2022. Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and analysis of organizational capabilities and external landscape on youth development, considering geography and youth needs.
  • Advice on identifying focus areas on youth development.
  • Recommendations on areas of growth, investment, and funding opportunities, including donors and revenue streams.
Requirements:
  • Significant experience in strategic advising on youth development in diverse regions globally.
  • Keen understanding of youth needs and opportunities in diverse regions, including Sub-Saharan Africa, Middle East and North Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, and Asia.
  • Experience with donors, including governments and private sector.
  • Experience with developing and implementing revenue streams for program funding.
  • Preferred experience working with USAID-funded programs in multiple contexts.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to interact and cooperate effectively with a large and multicultural team.
