Position Overview:

The Virginia Community Colleges is seeking an Academic Support Specialist to assist students in their educational journey and provide essential administrative support for the Academic Support Centers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver academic assistance and guidance to students outside of the traditional classroom setting.
  • Offer front-line administrative and clerical support to the Academic Support Centers.
  • Contribute to the mission of the organization by promoting academic excellence among students.

Core Functions:

  • Utilize expertise in specific subject areas to effectively support students.

  • Gather and maintain records of data related to tutoring activities.

Additional Responsibilities:
