RAYUS Radiology is seeking a dedicated Patient Service Representative to enhance our patient experience. We are committed to transforming radiology into a vital first step in diagnosis and treatment.

As a Patient Service Representative, your primary role will be to deliver exceptional patient-focused services while supporting the front office, medical records, and assisting technicians. This position involves a structured progression, where individuals in training will operate at the PSR I level, with the opportunity to advance to PSR II upon successful mastery of responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Front Desk Operations: Act as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere and delivering a legendary patient service experience.
  • Efficiently register patients by confirming demographic details and collecting necessary payments prior to service.
  • Communicate any delays to patients and follow up to resolve inquiries or complaints effectively.
  • Handle patient documentation, including photo identification and insurance verification, ensuring accurate electronic charting.
  • Provide essential consent and compliance documents, explaining them thoroughly to patients when required.
  • Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems proficiently, ensuring accuracy in prescriptions and referrals.
  • Coordinate with various departments to maintain patient satisfaction regarding appointment scheduling and admissions.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing communications, including faxes, while maintaining office supply levels.
  • Maintain a clean and organized reception area, ensuring a pleasant environment for patients.
  • Adhere to company policies and HIPAA regulations, ensuring the confidentiality of patient information.

Medical Records Management:

  • Verify the completeness and accuracy of health records, ensuring proper entry into systems.
  • Serve as a liaison for patients regarding medical records, providing a positive service experience.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations during the retrieval and release of medical information.
  • Educate patients on diagnostic procedures and provide clear instructions.

Technical Support:

  • Monitor scheduling for all modalities and assist in preparing patients for procedures.
  • Ensure patient areas are well-stocked and organized, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Support technologists by preparing the next patient in a timely manner.
