Position Overview:
LEAD Staffing is collaborating with a manufacturing entity to identify a qualified Industrial Maintenance Technician for a full-time, direct-hire role. This position offers a comprehensive benefits package for the 2nd shift. The ideal candidate will possess a robust mechanical background complemented by some electrical experience in an industrial maintenance environment. Responsibilities include ensuring the optimal performance of production machinery and equipment, conducting repairs, operating plant support machinery, and executing preventative maintenance strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair machinery and equipment, disassembling as needed to access defective components.
  • Make necessary adjustments to ensure efficient operation.
  • Operate and maintain plant support machinery, including boilers, softeners, and compressors.
  • Develop and implement preventative and predictive maintenance protocols for all machinery and equipment.
  • Perform general industrial maintenance tasks involving hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including cylinders, valves, gauges, compressors, and pumps.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of metalworking processes, including cutting, fabricating, and welding techniques such as stick, MIG, and TIG welding, with the ability to weld stainless steel.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics for installation and troubleshooting purposes.
  • Utilize diagnostic equipment such as meters and gauges effectively.
  • Exhibit a willingness to learn and understand all plant operations, including production and safety equipment.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of experience in industrial manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated experience as a mechanical maintenance technician in an industrial setting.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to read technical manuals and drawings.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as required.
  • Commitment to safety and quality standards.
