Our adaptable semiconductor-based platform, supported by versatile software, aims to achieve unprecedented cost savings in treatment across multiple diseases.

Opportunity

As Openwater continues to evolve and expand, we are seeking a visionary Chief Medical Officer to guide the organization through this exciting growth phase. This leader will build upon our existing achievements and spearhead the commercialization of our innovative solutions.

Position Overview

The Chief Medical Officer will report directly to Dr. Jepsen and will play a pivotal role within the leadership team. This position entails serving as the primary clinical representative for Openwater, engaging with customers, key opinion leaders, partners, investors, and other essential stakeholders. Responsibilities include:

  • Providing clinical and regulatory insights to shape product specifications aligned with target indications and overall strategy.
  • Incorporating feedback from end users (clinicians) into product development.
  • Communicating the strengths of Openwater's platform to thought leaders in the scientific and investment communities.
  • Anticipating and navigating regulatory challenges as a strategic priority.
  • Participating in business discussions as the clinical and regulatory expert.
  • Leading clinical and regulatory dialogues with key opinion leaders.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess an M.D. or M.D., Ph.D., along with extensive clinical expertise in therapeutic ultrasound and/or photonics. A minimum of 10 years in a senior clinical development leadership role within the medical device sector is essential. Experience in advancing and launching innovative technologies is highly desirable, particularly in ultrasound or imaging technology that incorporates AI and machine learning.

We seek an individual who is collaborative, innovative, and possesses a strong understanding of the commercial landscape. The Chief Medical Officer must be prepared to travel frequently to engage with global stakeholders.
