Job Summary

As a Software & Database Support Associate, you will play a critical role in maintaining and supporting the continued development of the Migration & Refugee Information System (MRIS) database and related projects. This position is responsible for coordinating and facilitating database and other software project support, assuming all project-related development of databases, and contributing to the Bishops' strategic plan for the Conference.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recommend solutions for enhancements and maintenance of the MRIS diocesan portal website and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database systems.
  • Coordinate with USCCB Information Technology and software vendors in the installation and testing of new applications, system upgrades, and security controls.
  • Administer and troubleshoot Microsoft CRM database (MRIS) and future database systems, including the creation of help desk e-mail templates, system views, custom reports, and manages user accounts and security roles.
  • Create testing strategies and user acceptance testing (UAT), including unit testing and end-to-end testing.
  • Work with the product development team to ensure that the acceptance criteria are met and the software meets project objectives/customer expectations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or minimum of 4 years of related work experience.
  • Major Field/Specialty: Computer Science, Computer Technology, Information Systems, hardware/software engineering, technology project coordination, or related computer field.
  • Minimum of 4-5 years of experience.
  • Must live in the DC Metro region.
