Job Title: Jr Database Administrator

At ASM Research, we are seeking a highly skilled Jr Database Administrator to join our team. As a Jr Database Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our databases.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Verify databases associated with network tools and solutions function as required.
  • Participate in routine operations and maintenance of databases.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance and incident management measures.
  • Execute regular system administrative activities, including system reboot, backup, recovery, archiving, and restoration.
  • Monitor and tune databases to ensure peak performance.
  • Implement backup and recovery solutions.
  • Run database tests and tune database performance.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field of study.
  • 1-2 years of related work experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
  • Knowledge of database backup and recovery strategies.
  • Experience with DBA productivity and performance tools.
  • Experience with DoD and Federal Government is a plus.
