Database Architect

At ACL Digital, we are seeking a skilled Database Architect to join our team. As a key member of our data team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing stable, reliable, and effective databases. Your expertise in optimizing and maintaining legacy systems will ensure seamless integration with our existing infrastructure. Additionally, you will modify databases according to requests, perform thorough tests, and resolve database usage issues and malfunctions. Your ability to liaise with developers to improve applications and establish best practices will be invaluable to our team. You will also gather user requirements, identify new features, and develop technical and training manuals. Furthermore, you will provide data management support to users and ensure that all database programs meet company and performance requirements. Your research and suggestions for new database products, services, and protocols will help us stay ahead of the curve.

Requirements

5+ years' experience in a data position (DBA, Data Architect, Data Engineer, Data Developer)
In-depth understanding of data management (e.g. permissions, recovery, security, and monitoring)
Experience with software development - creating normalized transactional databases for web applications
Hands-on experience with T-SQL (SQL Server), ANSI SQL, and Microsoft Azure
Familiarity working with PowerShell and JavaScript
Excellent analytical and organization skills
Ability to understand front-end user requirements and a problem-solving attitude
Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g. SSRS, PowerBI, R)
Proven ability to design and implement Extract, Transformation, and Loading processes (using SSIS)
Demonstrated success working in large technology initiatives with enterprise-level impact
Functions well in a team environment
High degree of initiative, self-motivation, and creativity with proven ability to coordinate with peers
Excellent verbal and written skills; technically astute, and up to date on latest technologies
Familiarity with enterprise data governance strategies
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field (Preferred)
2+ years' experience with Agile Framework (Preferred)
