Position Summary

The Finance Operations Manager will play a crucial role within the Finance department, engaging with all levels of personnel throughout the organization, including senior management and departmental leaders. This position will report directly to the Assistant Controller and will be significantly involved in the management and documentation of the company's expenses and those of its subsidiaries. The responsibilities include:
  • Overseeing the Corporate Amex reporting and reimbursement processes for employees, utilizing Concur for submissions.
  • Serving as the third tier of approval for employee expense claims, ensuring compliance with company policies, accurate client allocations, and proper documentation.
  • Following up with users who have outstanding submissions as necessary.
  • Acting as a point of contact for employees with inquiries regarding expense allocation policies.
  • Functioning as a Concur expert for the organization, addressing and resolving issues as they arise.
  • Generating comprehensive reports on employee expense submissions for the CFO as required.
  • Assisting the Assistant Controller with annual audits of corporate subsidiaries.
  • Executing monthly expense allocations to clients in line with contractual agreements and governing documents.
  • Maintaining and reconciling specific balance sheet and general ledger accounts for the four entities, including the preparation of quarterly workpapers.
  • Conducting research and analysis on expense discrepancies.
  • Providing support for the budgeting process related to specific vendors and expense categories as needed.
  • Possessing the capability to create ad hoc reports and analyze key expense areas as required.
  • Exhibiting critical thinking skills and the ability to escalate issues to the Assistant Controller when necessary.
  • Participating in projects and contributing to the strategic objectives of the department.
Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

- At least 7 years of experience in a finance-related role

- Demonstrated ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines

- Familiarity with SAP Concur for expense reporting

Preferred Skills

- Advanced proficiency in Excel

- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Allvue)

- Background in financial services is advantageous but not mandatory

- Strong organizational skills and accountability, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and with other departments

- Comfortable handling large datasets with attention to detail
