About the Role

BioMed Realty is seeking a highly skilled Facilities Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for coordinating activities for assigned properties, investigating and reviewing areas of responsibility, and recommending improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the management of programs and business processes
  • Coordinate, manage, and maintain emergency programs, including Emergency Response Plans
  • Manage, maintain, and track Environmental Protection Agency reports for BioMed, including DEP Report tracking and General Permit Discharge Monitoring Reports
  • Upload CMMS data and supporting documents to Maintenance Connections software and maintain CMMS physical files
  • Maintain and work with contracts to update CMMS, track maintenance requests to completion, and maintain records of service for reporting purposes
  • Manage, maintain, and track properties Mechanical and Life Safety Regulatory Permit process, including review and tracking logs
  • Assist in setting up, drafting, reviewing, and maintaining a standard operating procedure (SOP) program
  • Maintain effective working relationships and coordinate efforts closely with other departments, including Development, Accounting, and IT to complete projects
  • Represent the company to outside agencies and organizations
  • Assist in the preparation of and adherence to annual Facilities budgets
  • Organize and support the Facilities Department staff for new initiatives
Requirements
  • BS degree in an engineering discipline or an equivalent combination of education, training, and project management experience
  • Facilities experience within the life science industry a plus
  • Computer proficiency with CAD, Drawing Archive Systems, Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, and Microsoft Project
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and effective organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work with competing priorities and demands
  • Must be able to work with interdepartmental offices within the BioMed Realty organization
  • Must be organized and task-oriented, able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with multiple deadlines, and adapt readily to changing priorities
