Your Role

We are seeking experienced professionals for the full-time role of Acoustical Managing Consultant. This position involves working in a dynamic environment that includes project management, client engagement, mentoring junior staff, and independent, detail-oriented tasks.

As a Managing Consultant, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team that provides innovative and sustainable solutions to a global clientele. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing acoustical consulting projects and maintaining client relationships
  • Formulating and executing project strategies
  • Leading teams to create and implement innovative acoustical design solutions addressing complex environmental noise issues
  • Conducting technical analyses related to environmental noise assessments, sound level evaluations, computer modeling (CadnaA, SoundPlan, or similar), and mitigation design/specification
  • Preparing comprehensive reports and communicating findings to clients, as well as drafting proposals and cost estimates
  • Guiding team members and fostering the development of their technical and professional skills
  • Reviewing and interpreting relevant local, state, provincial, and federal environmental regulations

Your Team

You will collaborate with a creative group dedicated to solving client challenges and developing sustainable solutions. The team comprises individuals with varying levels of expertise, from entry-level members to seasoned professionals, many of whom are recognized experts in their fields. Continuous learning is encouraged through coaching, mentoring, and hands-on experience.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • A B.S. or M.S. in Engineering, Science, or Mathematics
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in acoustical consulting, particularly in environmental noise assessment
  • Strong skills in spreadsheet management, noise modeling, and relevant software tools
  • Proven ability to apply environmental regulations to practical scenarios
  • Demonstrated leadership in project teams within the acoustical consulting field
  • Experience in delivering acoustical consultation and design across various sectors, including manufacturing, technology, energy, water, and transportation
  • Familiarity with acoustical industry standards such as ISO and ANSI
  • Experience in conducting environmental noise assessments in compliance with NEPA or similar regulations.
