In this position, you will advocate for the customers navigating payment processes throughout their travel experiences with American Airlines, as well as for users of various Checkout applications for transactions across multiple platforms.

This role enables you to think strategically about the overarching vision and how Checkout aligns with American Airlines' objectives, while also detailing the specific features and functionalities our product offers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate in the development of Product Vision and Strategy aligned with Portfolio objectives.
  • Leverage technical expertise in areas such as A/B testing, product architecture, continuous deployment, DevOps methodologies, data modeling, analytics, and automation tools to support the products/services managed.
  • Regularly communicate on Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), product roadmap, upcoming developments, and critical areas needing leadership focus.
  • Coordinate with fellow Product team members to manage product interdependencies and deliver incremental value.
  • Engage in ongoing product discovery and propose valuable solutions that align with Product OKRs.
  • Understand budgetary constraints and organizational limitations when determining areas of focus.
  • Utilize data to establish baselines, evaluate outcomes, share insights, and prioritize backlog items.
  • Conduct competitive analysis, introduce new technologies/solutions, and identify unmet needs.
  • Define and maintain a robust backlog, consistently adhering to organizational standards while presenting backlog items to teams and external partners.
  • Seek input from product, process, and technology sectors, balancing immediate improvements necessary for maintaining both technical and product integrity.
  • Collaborate with various internal stakeholders (e.g., UX, Technology, Vendors, Risk, Compliance, Security).
  • Influence leadership, teams, and peers regarding product strategy, roadmap initiatives, OKRs, and forthcoming releases.
  • Embrace agility in continuously discovering and delivering value.

Qualifications for Success
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field plus 3 years of experience in Product Management/Delivery (e.g., product analyst, user researcher, product owner) or 5 years of equivalent experience in Product Management/Delivery.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in determining Product Market fit and formulating a Go-to-Market strategy.
- Familiarity with Agile Product Management tools.

Skills, Licenses & Certifications:
- Relevant certifications in Product Management/Product Delivery.
- Strong knowledge and expertise in the product domain, including business models, constraints, regulations, and user experiences.
