HRU Technical Resources is in search of a Controls Engineer to provide support for a prominent automotive client.

Role Type: 12 Month Contract (Potential for extension)

Work Schedule: 1st Shift, rotating every 3-4 months with overtime opportunities

Salary: $50.00-$60.00/HR

Position Overview: The Controls Engineer will be responsible for delivering electrical assistance, engineering controls, and enhancing production methodologies. This role involves spearheading modifications in controls, collaborating with maintenance and technical teams, and overseeing budgetary considerations for equipment and processes. Key responsibilities encompass leading initiatives for throughput enhancement, designing evaluations for process improvements, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline is required, along with a minimum of 3 years of experience in controls, particularly with Rockwell, Siemens, and Fanuc robotics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide engineering and electrical support, focusing on controls modifications and ongoing enhancement of production methodologies.
  • Offer technical guidance and support to maintenance and other technical personnel within the organization; maintain regular communication with external partners.
  • Assess and monitor budgetary allocations for processes and equipment.
  • Lead initiatives related to Throughput Improvement Processes (TIP).
  • Design evaluations to effectively identify opportunities for design enhancements.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
  • Identify and document system vulnerabilities, developing mitigation strategies and tracking corrective actions.
  • Prioritize and enforce safe working practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in Controls Engineering.
  • Experience with Rockwell and Siemens systems.
  • Familiarity with Fanuc robotics.
