Position Overview: Senior Controls Software Engineer

The Senior Controls Software Engineer will play a pivotal role in guiding a team of engineers focused on the design, programming, troubleshooting, and debugging of automation systems within industrial settings.

Essential Qualifications: A minimum of 5 years of experience in controls software within the automation sector, eligibility to work in the United States, and willingness to travel up to 35% are required.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Lead and oversee the project team to ensure projects are completed on schedule
  • Serve as the main liaison for controls engineering between AMT Services Inc. Management and clients
  • Formulate and execute a detailed controls engineering strategy
  • Track project development, recognize challenges, and provide regular updates
  • Assess project goals and resource needs
  • Guide and mentor junior engineers
  • Create recovery strategies and standard practices to enhance efficiency

Required Skills and Expertise:

  • Proficient in PLC programming and troubleshooting (specifically Allen Bradley and Siemens)
  • Skilled in HMI design and other pertinent technologies
  • Familiarity with CAD design tools and safety protocols
  • Experience in network communications and robotic programming
  • Strong leadership capabilities and interpersonal skills
