POSITION SUMMARY:

The primary role of a Controls Engineer involves the development of control system designs based on documented operational sequences. This position entails creating intricate piping and wiring schematics while delivering technical assistance across a variety of control system initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee controls engineering and electrical assistance, implement control modifications, and drive ongoing enhancements in production workflows.
  • Ensure the operational integrity of the production line from a controls perspective, troubleshoot issues, and pursue continuous enhancements on machinery, including PLCs and robotic systems.
  • Offer technical guidance and support to maintenance teams and other technical personnel within the organization; maintain consistent communication with external partners.
  • Assess and monitor financial expenditures related to processes and equipment.
  • Lead initiatives focused on Throughput Improvement Processes (TIP).
  • Design testing protocols to effectively identify opportunities for design enhancements.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
  • Identify and document system vulnerabilities, develop mitigation strategies, and track corrective measures.
  • Promote and enforce safe working practices as the utmost priority.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in controls engineering is essential.
  • Experience with Rockwell and Siemens systems is required.
  • Familiarity with Fanuc Robots and IR Vision technology is advantageous.
