Senior Controls Software Engineer

In the role of Senior Controls Software Engineer, you will take charge of guiding and overseeing a team of engineers dedicated to the design, programming, troubleshooting, and debugging of industrial automation solutions.

Essential Qualifications: A minimum of 5 years of experience in controls software within the automation sector, eligibility to work in the United States, and willingness to travel up to 35% are crucial for this position.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct and manage the project team to ensure projects are completed on schedule
  • Serve as the main liaison for controls engineering between AMT Services Inc management and clients
  • Create and execute a detailed controls engineering strategy
  • Track project developments, recognize obstacles, and provide updates
  • Assess project goals and resource needs
  • Guide and mentor junior engineers
  • Formulate recovery strategies and standard procedures to enhance efficiency

Skills and Expertise:

  • Proficient in PLC programming and troubleshooting (including Allen Bradley and Siemens)
  • Skilled in HMI design and related technologies
  • Familiarity with CAD design tools and safety protocols
  • Experience in network communications and robotic programming
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities
