About the Role

Sunflower Bank, N.A. is seeking a skilled Mortgage Loan Originator to join our team. As a Mortgage Loan Originator, you will be responsible for developing leads and originating mortgage loans through various channels, including branches, realtors, and builders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead mortgage loans through branches, realtors, and builders.
  • Interview mortgage loan applicants and take loan applications from customers.
  • Send applicant files to processors in the centralized loan support area.
  • Respond to referrals from branch personnel and others.
  • Assist in obtaining additional data or information when requested by processors.
  • Cross-sell all bank products and services.
Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience, MBA or Master's Degree preferred. 2+ years of lending experience is also preferred.

  • Creativity, flexibility, integrity, and a commitment to customer support are essential.
  • Ability to work autonomously exercising considerable independent judgment.
  • Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
