Job Details

At Chesmar Homes, we are seeking a skilled Underwriter to join our team in Phoenix, Arizona. As an Underwriter, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our mortgage lending process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and verify loan applications and supporting documents.
  • Assess risks and make loan eligibility decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
  • Communicate decisions and requirements to loan officers and applicants.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5-7 consecutive years in Conventional, FHA, and VA underwriting experience.
  • Maintain accurate records of underwriting decisions.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of mortgage industry regulations.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills.
