Position Overview:
Are you ready to take the lead in shaping the future of Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) systems for the Department of Defense? We are seeking a skilled and experienced Systems Requirements Specialist to support the Space Force in Colorado.

Your Role:
As an integral member of our innovative team, you will be responsible for:

  • Gathering and documenting requirements from stakeholders using various methods such as interviews, workshops, and document reviews.
  • Analyzing and prioritizing requirements to align with operational goals and project objectives.
  • Creating and maintaining detailed requirements documentation, including traceability metrics, system specifications, and verification matrices.
  • Managing requirement changes throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure clear communication and understanding of requirements.
  • Developing and executing validation plans to ensure requirements meet technical standards.
  • Utilizing Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies to model and simulate system architectures and interfaces.
  • Staying informed about emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend enhancements.

Essential Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An active TS clearance with the ability to obtain an SCI clearance.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Analysis, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in systems engineering or requirements management.
  • Proficiency in requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS, JIRA, JAMA).
  • Experience with MBSE methodologies and tools.
  • Familiarity with agile development processes.
  • Strong communication and critical thinking skills.
  • The ability to effectively lead diverse teams.

Preferred Qualifications:
Additional skills that would be advantageous include:

  • Experience with Space Systems Command.
  • 4+ years of OPIR experience.
  • An advanced degree in systems engineering.
  • Relevant systems engineering certifications (ASEP, CSEP, ESEP).
  • Experience integrating models across various software applications.
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance.

Clearance Requirement:
Top Secret clearance is required for this position.

Compensation:
The salary range for this position is between $83,000 and $145,800. We offer comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, paid time off, and a 401(k) plan, among others, to support our employees' well-being.
