Job Summary:

BAE Systems USA is seeking a highly skilled Senior Telecommunications Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our IP Radio Network team, you will be responsible for designing, installing, and maintaining complex IP radio telecommunications networks for government agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement IP radio network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Install and configure radio transmission equipment, including HF, VHF, and UHF radios.
  • Provide administrative support for special C2 systems, including High Frequency (HF), Very High Frequency (VHF), and Ultra High Frequency (UHF) radios.
  • Document and report on network status, including daily reports on assigned responsibilities.
  • Perform essential technical maintenance activities, including troubleshooting and repairing equipment.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma and a minimum of 10 years of direct experience with telecommunications, integration design, installation, and support.
  • Experience with Wide Area Networks, IP routing schemes, and configuration and troubleshooting routers and switches.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem isolation techniques for solving complex troubles with telecommunication instruments, equipment, circuits, channels, and trunk troubles.
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate certification (CCNA) and/or Network+ certification in accordance with DOD 8570 instruction.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Juniper, Circuit to Packet (CTP-150), and Motorola Base Station equipment.
  • Knowledge of DoD policies and procedures with regard to the installation, configuration, and management of Cisco IP Systems.
