Electrical Engineer Position at AE Works Ltd.

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to lead our electrical engineering team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical engineering, with a focus on power systems design and construction administration.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architectural Engineering or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university, and be a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in VA, MD, DC, PA or other reciprocal state. They will also have at least 8 years of related experience in building projects, with a strong understanding of Revit and experience in design of healthcare, senior care, higher education, commercial, public safety, and/or government projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and construction administration of power, lighting, and telecommunication systems for building projects
  • Lead clients and internal design team through the planning and design for the mechanical systems for building projects
  • Produce high quality deliverables for Clients at all stages of design
  • Serve as a primary contact with client and consultants for electrical engineering design on projects
  • Champion engineering design relevance within the firm through mentorship and training
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architectural Engineering or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
  • PE registration in VA, MD, DC, PA or other reciprocal state
  • 8+ years of related mechanical experience for building projects
  • Demonstrated familiarity with Revit
  • Experience in design of healthcare, senior care, higher education, commercial, public safety, and/or government projects
  • Strong communication and listening skills
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our culture
  • Skilled with using cloud based and mobile technology for collaboration
