Responsibilities

As a Housekeeping Attendant at Kimpton, your primary duty will be to maintain the cleanliness of guest accommodations and shared spaces while delivering exceptional service to our patrons. You will serve as an ambassador for the hotel, crafting personalized experiences and fostering relationships with guests that encourage their return.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Perform daily cleaning, dusting, polishing, and servicing of guest rooms in accordance with hotel standards.
  • Change bed linens and restock guest room supplies, ensuring wastebaskets are emptied and furnishings are arranged appropriately.
  • Provide linens and amenities to guests as outlined in the guest room guidelines.
  • Ensure rooms are left in a uniform arrangement as directed by the Executive Housekeeper, securing doors and locking rooms.
  • Report any damages, hazards, or unusual occurrences in assigned areas.
  • Return lost items found in guest rooms or common areas to the Housekeeping department, documenting details for lost and found records.
  • Maintain cleanliness in corridors and service areas, responding to requests from the Housekeeping management team.
  • Uphold pass key security protocols, ensuring keys are returned at the end of each shift as per hotel guidelines.
  • Restock housekeeping carts and organize the linen closet at the end of your shift to prepare for the following day.
  • Communicate any exceptional circumstances, such as unusual guest behavior or service needs, to the on-duty supervisor or manager.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • A High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is preferred.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service or a related field.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and intuition.
  • A genuine concern for the safety and well-being of guests.
