Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Recreation Facilities Support Specialist to join our team at the City of Clearwater, FL. As a key member of our facilities operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, maintenance, and overall functionality of our recreational facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide janitorial services, including cleaning, mopping, and window washing, to maintain a safe and healthy environment for staff and patrons.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as landscaping and equipment upkeep, to ensure the facilities are in good working order.
  • Assist with the setup and maintenance of facilities for events and rentals, providing excellent customer service to patrons and staff.
  • Track inventory and order supplies as needed, maintaining accurate records of expenditures and processing work orders.
  • Provide support to volunteers and other contractors, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; six months of vocational training and two years of experience in a related field preferred.
  • Valid State driver's license required.
  • Knowledge of cleaning methods, chemicals, and equipment, as well as maintenance and handyman skills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, patrons, and volunteers.
