We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Recreation Facilities Support Specialist to join our team at the City of Clearwater, FL. Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional janitorial and custodial services, including cleaning, mopping, window washing, and bathroom maintenance.
- Perform outside maintenance tasks, such as cleaning windows, blowing leaves, and general landscaping duties.
- Assist in the coordination and supervision of volunteers and outside contractors to ensure efficient and effective facility operations.
- Provide excellent customer service to staff and patrons, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience.
- Track inventory and order supplies as needed, maintain accurate records of expenditures, and process work orders.
- Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the facilities are clean, operable, and meet the needs of the community.
- High School Diploma or equivalent, and six (6) months of vocational training, and two (2) years of full-time experience in the support of a major recreation program in a specialized area/field or in the operation of a unique or specialized facility.
- Valid State driver's license.
- Knowledge of cleaning methods, chemicals, and equipment, maintenance and general handyman skills, customer service, facility maintenance and organization, record keeping, and general office policies and procedures.
- Skills in performing professional janitorial and custodian duties, organizing work and setting priorities, engaging with patrons, supervising volunteers, establishing good relationships with patrons and fellow staff, and operating a computer with proficiency.
