About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Systems Engineer to join our team at Chemours. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support for electrical, controls, and power distribution systems across our Florida and Georgia operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide engineering support for electrical, controls, and power distribution systems to ensure safe and reliable operation.
  • Develop and implement electrical system designs, including motor control centers, switchgear, and protection relays.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and develop projects to improve electrical system reliability and efficiency.
  • Lead commissioning, startups, and troubleshooting efforts for electrical systems.
  • Develop and maintain electrical procedures, programs, and safe work practices.
  • Participate in Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSRs) to ensure compliance with Process Safety Management (PSM) regulations.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, controls, and instrument problems as needed.
  • Lead Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) efforts for electrical and controls systems.
  • Coordinate with external electrical contractors and vendors to ensure compliance with company standards and regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on power distribution and control systems.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards, including NEC and ISA.
  • Experience with PLC systems, including Rockwell Automation.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
  • Experience in manufacturing and/or mining environments.
  • Working knowledge of industry codes and best practices/programs in engineered solutions.
