Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Agency: Department of Military Affairs
Position Overview: The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the proper functioning of mechanical systems within the agency. This role involves hands-on work with various systems including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections and perform repairs on mechanical systems to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Execute installations and modifications of mechanical components and systems.
- Utilize a range of tools and equipment, including power tools and machinery, to complete maintenance tasks effectively.
- Document all maintenance activities and ensure timely completion of assigned work orders.
- Collaborate with team members to support maintenance operations across various locations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Two years of relevant experience in mechanical maintenance or a related field.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing, and operating machinery.
- Must be capable of lifting at least 50 pounds.
