Mobile Maintenance Mechanic Job Description

Chemours is seeking a skilled Mobile Maintenance Mechanic to join our Fleet team. This role will be based at our Starke, FL location and will report directly to the Mobile Maintenance Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Schedule work efficiently to minimize travel time and reduce multiple trips to one location.
  • Keep all customer appointments as scheduled and notify the Motor Pool Supervisor and customer of any delays.
  • Complete all previously scheduled work before attending to last-minute customer requests.
  • Document and file paperwork for all received shipments of parts and materials.
  • Maintain the inventory on the Chemours service vehicle.
  • Report vehicle accidents or injuries to the Motor Pool Supervisor immediately.
  • Troubleshoot and repair air and hydraulic brake systems, as well as electrical, fuel, and cooling systems.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance programs as outlined by Manufacturer and/or corporate standards.
  • Change, repair, and balance tires.
  • Install and assist with installing special automotive and emergency equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Current Driver's License.
  • 1-3 years maintenance experience with a mechanical or technical background in maintenance and/or a relevant mining experience and background.
  • Thorough understanding of standard maintenance and operational procedures.
  • Skill in handling multiple priorities and tasks concurrently and meeting deadlines.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment and handle competing demands.
  • Ability to prioritize work activity and use time efficiently.
  • Skill in identifying and resolving problems in a timely manner.
