The Internet Technologies Quality Engineering & Operations team is in search of a skilled and dedicated Software Development Engineer in Test to enhance our existing automation framework.Our teams are responsible for designing and developing the foundational communication technologies for iOS, macOS, watchOS, and visionOS, specifically for Mail, Messages, FaceTime, and Phone applications.
We seek analytical thinkers to play a crucial role in validating Apple's software releases and ensuring a superior customer experience.
The ideal candidate should thrive in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities and possess the creativity and inspiration to devise innovative solutions for product improvement.
Responsibilities:
As a Software Development Engineer in Test, you will create a combination of functional, performance, reliability, and end-to-end automated tests to support our communication applications.
Moreover, you will innovate tools to enhance our testing efficiency, troubleshoot failures, and facilitate effective communication of results through comprehensive reports.
You should be highly technical, organized, creative, motivated, and passionate about delivering results.Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Experience in software development, tools, and automation
- Proficiency in functional or object-oriented programming languages such as Python, Java, or Swift
- Ability to define, design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks
- Experience with integrated, end-to-end systems and testing methodologies
- Familiarity with testing and automating APIs, UIs, and Native Applications
- Knowledge of the software development lifecycle, testing methodologies, and tools
- Highly organized, creative, motivated, and passionate about achieving results
- Proficient in refactoring, test automation, emergent design, testable and modular code, and build infrastructure.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Swift, C/C++, or Objective-C is advantageous
Compensation & Benefits:
At Apple, base pay is one component of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This structure allows for growth as you advance in your role.
The base pay range for this position is between $135,400 and $250,600, with your specific salary dependent on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become shareholders through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.Employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards and can purchase Apple stock at a discount through the Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
