Position Overview:
At Orlando Health, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional care and service to our patients. The Patient Food Hospitality Attendant plays a crucial role in ensuring that our patients and their guests receive an outstanding dining experience that meets their nutritional needs.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Patient Food Hospitality Attendant, you will be responsible for:

  • Exhibiting superior communication and customer service skills while interacting with patients, nursing staff, and visitors.
  • Delivering the correct meal trays to patients, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Collaborating with the Orlando Health team to support the dietary requirements of our patients.
  • Organizing meal trays on delivery carts and maintaining accurate logs of delivery times.
  • Collecting payments for guest trays and managing financial records with the dietary office.
  • Retrieving soiled trays and maintaining cleanliness in work areas.
  • Coordinating tray deliveries with the expeditor and dietary office as needed.
  • Assisting in the preparation and verification of meal trays for accuracy and completeness.
  • Monitoring patient dietary prescriptions, changes in orders, and quality standards.
  • Accurately processing patient menu selections in accordance with physician dietary orders.
  • Respecting patient food allergies, intolerances, and preferences promptly.
  • Demonstrating essential service behaviors, including effective communication and customer service with all stakeholders.
  • Engaging appropriately with a diverse patient population.
  • Following the appropriate channels for addressing departmental concerns.
  • Maintaining consistent and punctual attendance in line with Orlando Health policies.

Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, candidates should possess the ability to read and recognize differences in written materials, write simple correspondence, and respond effectively to common inquiries or concerns from customers.
