POSITION SUMMARY
The Cargo Operations Supervisor is accountable for overseeing the daily cargo handling functions at Aloha Air Cargo, along with managing the ground handling personnel.

Under the guidance of departmental leadership, the incumbent will supervise freight operations and execute approved procedures that guarantee customer satisfaction.

The Cargo Supervisor will engage with various levels and departments within the organization, as well as with external entities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:

  • Evaluate the performance of the freight service operations conducted by Aloha Air Cargo staff.

This role may encompass the following:

  • Oversight of flight handling activities (loading/unloading aircraft, weight and balance, handling of hazardous materials and special cargo)
  • Ensuring accurate documentation
  • Understanding regulatory requirements from governmental agencies
  • Coordinating with other Aloha Air Cargo locations and departments regarding all cargo-related matters
  • Facilitating daily operations by identifying issues and proposing solutions to maintain compliance with company standards and objectives.
  • Participating in job-specific training as necessary.
  • Conducting and supervising on-the-job training and development.
  • Additional administrative responsibilities may include budget assistance, payment processing, personnel management, and staff scheduling.
Qualifications and Experience

  • The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, demonstrated leadership abilities, organizational skills, and a keen attention to detail.
  • Must have a comprehensive understanding of freight operations and the capability to lead effectively.
  • Exhibit a high level of initiative, motivation for ongoing training and knowledge sharing, interest in knowledge management, and experience in innovative problem-solving.
  • Strong computer skills are essential.
  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening, a 5-year background investigation, a 10-year criminal history check, and a security threat assessment.
Compensation
The salary range for this position is between $56,000 and $64,000 annually.
