The City of Toronto's Parks, Forestry & Recreation division is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Transformation Consultant to contribute to the Enterprise Work Management Solution (EWMS) project team.

In this role, you will report to the Manager of Parks and collaborate closely with the management team to design and implement a comprehensive change management strategy. Your expertise will be essential in fostering change management capabilities within the organization, ensuring the successful execution of this significant transformation initiative.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead change initiatives within a technology-driven project environment.
  • Provide strategic consulting and high-level advisory services.
  • Conduct assessments and develop actionable plans for a large organization with unionized personnel.
  • Facilitate workshops aimed at overcoming resistance and promoting the adoption of new technologies.
  • Establish and manage a network of change champions.
  • Develop and implement communication and training strategies.

What You Will Do:

  • Evaluate organizational readiness and collaborate with the change management team to formulate change and communication strategies.
  • Identify risks and potential impacts related to change initiatives, recommending actions to mitigate adverse effects.
  • Work with training personnel to integrate change management principles into training material development and delivery.
  • Assess stakeholder readiness and capacity for change, providing recommendations to senior management.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships, conducting change impact assessments and outlining necessary actions to support new behaviors.
  • Develop and maintain a change management framework, policies, and resources to standardize practices across the organization.

Qualifications:

Your application should demonstrate your qualifications in relation to:

  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Strategic Management, Organizational Development) or equivalent experience.
  • Formal change management certification (e.g., Prosci or CCMP).
  • Extensive experience in change management within a major public or private sector organization, ideally in a unionized setting.
  • Proven ability to lead technology-driven change initiatives focusing on behavioral transformation.
  • Experience in strategic engagement with stakeholders to identify change impacts and develop effective plans.
  • Strong communication skills to advise senior leaders on their roles in change leadership.
  • Comprehensive understanding of change management processes, methodologies, and tools.
