Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop design options for plumbing, fire protection, water distribution, storm drainage, sanitary waste and vent, and natural gas distribution.
  • Size, select, design, and schedule plumbing system components, including fixtures, for new building and remodel construction projects.
  • Perform field work on facility assessments and audits, and prepare reports.
  • Cost estimates for designs.
  • Communicate and collaborate with other team members, including engineers, architects, and interior designers.
  • Manage client and consultant relationships.
  • Provide quality control and review of drawings and specifications.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
  • PE license required.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in designing building systems, including plumbing and fire protection.
  • Strong computer skills utilizing Revit and/or BIM.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Ability to oversee production, direct, inspire, and mentor junior staff.
  • Previous experience with an Architecture & Engineering firm is beneficial.
