About the Role

This is a senior-level position that requires a strong understanding of consumer collections, bankruptcy, and foreclosure laws. You will be responsible for providing legal guidance to the bank's consumer collections teams, analyzing complex legal documents, and developing strategies to mitigate potential risks. Your expertise will be essential in helping us achieve our goal of making banking a better experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice to consumer collections teams on regulatory matters, contracts, and litigation
• Analyze and summarize complex legal documents, including contracts and agreements
• Develop strategies to mitigate potential risks and reduce costly litigation
• Collaborate with senior management to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Perform due diligence in legal matters concerning contracts, agreements, and mergers and acquisitions

Requirements

• J.D. degree and admission to a state bar
• Minimum 5 years' experience in consumer collections, bankruptcy, and foreclosure law
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry trends
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
