Job Title: Emergency Department Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Emergency Department Nurse to join our team at South Peninsula Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Job Summary:

The Emergency Department Nurse will be responsible for providing direct patient care, assessing patient needs, and developing and implementing individualized care plans. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care activities and ensure seamless transitions between departments.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality patient care, including assessment, treatment, and education
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
  • Coordinate patient care activities with other members of the healthcare team
  • Assess patient needs and develop plans to meet those needs
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alaska
  • One year of Registered Nurse experience in an Emergency Department setting, with 3 years preferred
  • Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • English Language: Must be able to read, write, and speak English clearly
