Job Title: RN - Acute Care

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Acute Care team at South Peninsula Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care to patients on the Acute Care unit, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, and implement individualized care plans.
  • Supervise and delegate tasks to other care team providers as needed, ensuring that patients receive comprehensive and coordinated care.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans, and to ensure that patients receive evidence-based care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure that patients receive high-quality care and that their needs are met.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote safe and effective patient care.

Requirements:

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alaska.
  • Experience working in an Acute Care setting, preferably in a critical access hospital.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to prioritize tasks and responsibilities effectively.
