We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at the Louisiana Department of State Civil Service. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our healthcare team.
Job Summary:The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing professional nursing care to patients and/or clients, including administering medications, performing medical procedures, and developing and implementing individualized care plans. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing medical procedures, and developing and implementing individualized care plans.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure seamless patient care and achieve optimal outcomes.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, and develop and implement individualized care plans to address these needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients' responses to these interventions.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Valid Louisiana license or temporary permit to practice professional nursing or a multi-state license issued by a Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC/eNLC) state.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), if applicable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients and equipment, as needed.
